🏀Netball Training. 🏀

This week the years7, 8, 5 and 6 students are training for Netball. Everyday we've been performing extremely well. After all the hard training and exercise drills, I have finally made it into the Netball Team of 2017. My position is currently goal shooter. Everyday we go out to the netball courts and practice so that we can become better than before. I can't wait until inter-school Netball competition, and I hope to make it into the finals!!

Breakers Trip

On Wednesday a few boys from Rooms 12 and 11 got picked for a trip to go to the breakers training  zone. The 10 chosen boys were Sione, Min zin, Pepe, Dakbai, Popi, Mika, Quros, Aydrian, Samuel and me. When we arrived, there were heaps of other schools and loud screeching of the breakers shoes on the floor. When they completed their training all the schools grabbed a ball and started to play around with the breakers. After we finished playing everyone lined up and waited to obtain signatures from the breakers. At the end we took a photo with our ball and then some other school came to the front and did a haka.    

Skipping Display

On Thursday the whole Ruapotaka school went to the court for skipping. We started off with the skip off. The Junior finalist came up and grabbed a skipping rope and then the Seniors did the same thing. When it finished the Juniors went back to their class so they can learn. Room Eleven and Room Twelve stayed for their displays.When it was finished we went back to our classes.


  

Buddy Reading In Room 7

On Monday afternoon when lunch time ended we went inside and started to do blogging. When it was about 2:30 pm we went to Room Seven for buddy reading. When we were all packed up we went up to Room Seven. When they were all organized we went inside and chose a buddy to read with. Later on when we had been sorted our buddy started to read. Later on my buddy completed the book and took it back.  A few moments later the bell rang and we all went home.

I'm so Sad:(

On Wednesday morning I was getting ready for school and when I arrived I heard, "Soccer is cancelled".  When I went inside the class I felt a bit sad.  After the bell rang we had to do fitness. After we finished fitness we went inside our classroom but before we went in Mr Reid said, "Whoever is in the soccer team take a photo''. In my head I felt a little disappointed because I really wanted to go Inter-school soccer. It was my first time going to soccer.

The Celebrity Show

On Thursday, Friday and on the following Monday, Room 12 came together so we can plan the first senior Syndicate for 2016. The Room 12 entertained the Syndicate with a Celebrity Show Awards movie.

When the movie was finished Sophie Isabella and Pallas edited the movie. When the movie was all done Room 12 went to the multipurpose room to practise the music and the hosting. 

The Duffy Show

On Monday our entire school went to the multipurpose room for a special show, it was all about Duffy.

The show was really hilarious and interesting. It all had to do with Duffy going back in time to save Ruby's dad.

Duffy teleported to different places such as Japan and Germany.


When he went to save Ruby's dad they were ambushed by their enemies.

Duffy went back to the future to see if Ruby's dad was alive.

Five Plus A Day Challenge

On Thursday afternoon the entire school gathered together and then we were divided into 10 teams. The purpose was to have fun with fruits and vegetables. My favourite activity was knocking off the coconuts, the person with the most points won. At the end of the programme we gathered together again.  

The First Day Back At School

The first day I came back to school I felt good because I was getting put into a new class (Room 12) with  a new teacher (Mrs Golder) and new clasmates. I am a Year 7 and I'm really excited to learn new things. My goal is to be better than before. What I really like about school is learning new things, having fun and most of  all being at school. At the end of  the day I said," See you tomorow and have a nice day".

Manaiakalani Film Feastival

Yesterday Room 9, 10, 11, 12, 6 and 7 went to Sylvia Park so we can watch some videos. We got there by going on the bus. Once we were there Miss Ginders was taking photos, we went at 10.45. 
When we got inside we started to watch some videos. My favourite movie was our own because it was awesome and it was our first time. When we were finished we got inside the bus and went back to school.

One Goal For Term Four

In Room Nine we have been writing our Term 4 goals and we had to relate the goals to the key competencies.

The Most Coolist And Fun project

  
In the morning we were going to do a science project. Our materials were cups, water, shaving foam and food colouring. We had to put food colouring on top of the shaving foam. When we were putting in the food colouring it started to sink through the shaving foam and it looked like it was raining down. 
(The shaving foam was the cloud and the food colouring was the rain.) 

The Special Guest

In the morning Room 1 to Room 12 went to the assembly for a special day.When the special guest came he put up a poster of him cylcling. His name was Myron Simpson.
